FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 26, 2001, 9:00 p.m. Bad Traffic Anticipated for the Holiday Lighting CeremonyBARNES PLACE (ATLANTA, GEORGIA) - One of the un-romantic holiday traditions: Traffic. Traffic on the evening of the Ninth-Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony, Saturday, December 1, promises to be no different. Guests are encouraged to carpool and arrive early for the lighting as the SEC Basketball Tournament begins at 8 p.m. at Phillips Arena only 2.4 miles from Barnes Place. "Every year, Saturday evening traffic combined with holiday traffic, and the Arena traffic makes the I-75/85 Connector a parking lot," said Director of Catering and Guest Relations Anthony Dornacher. A number of guests often race to make it to the Lighting, so the Social Secretary at Barnes Place is encouraging everyone to allow plenty of travel time and carpool. Guests can also use alternates.
The Holiday Lighting Ceremony takes place promptly at 8:05 p.m. For more information or to RSVP, direct your web browser to http://www.barnesplace.com/events/hlc2001/. Or e-mail social.secretary@barnesplace.com. --END-- |
