"It's the End of an Era."
Last Call Photos Now on BP.com
BARNES PLACE (ATLANTA, GEORGIA) - The photos from the night that was known as Last Call are now posted in the events section of Barnes Place.com. Barnes Place Social Secretary Blanche apologizes for the delay in getting the photos posted.
Having the computer network split between two states is providing some challenges, said Director of Ambiance and Entertainment Timothy State.
It was a lovely evening as folks gathered around the spot where the video fire place had once burned brightly during social occasions, and reminisced over their last cocktail at Barnes Place. Its the end of an era, said Ben Scott, neighbor and Barnes Place computer network consultant.
Peoples lives have been connected through Barnes Place, said State. And in a weird sort of way, the world made just a touch smaller. But just because Barnes Place closes its doors does not mean those connections, the commonalities discovered over a slightly dirty martini in the Viking Dining Room are about to vanish.
I think there is an opportunity here, said Director of Catering and Guest Relations Anthony Dornacher. The Oharas were dead wrong when they said in Gone with the Wind, Land is all that matters. Its all that lasts. Rather its the people who populate the land that matter. For it is their spirit and the energy they choose to resonate that continues on in each of our hearts. Those whose lives we have touched, you have touched ours. No distance, no lack of land, no shortness of turnips will ever take that away. Besides, the land just probably has lead paint chips, and how grand is that?
