State Slightly Injured in Frisbee Flip-Flop Fiasco

BARNES PLACE (ATLANTA, GEORGIA) - Director of Ambiance and Entertainment Timothy State suffered from grass stains in a public setting Saturday in a Frisbee-related flip-flop fiasco. State was attending the Atlanta Pride Festival on Saturday afternoon with the Houseboys, and was playing Frisbee with Dan at the time of the incident.

Dan, apparently overextending his wrist while tossing the Frisbee, caused the Frisbee to careen drastically to the starboard side of State. Feeling fashionably athletic, State lurched for the Frisbee, which created too much strain on the strap of his right silk-flower-clad flip-flop. The strap burst under the fashion pressure, just below the silk daisy that daintily covers the ridge of the foot. State took a tumble, causing the two to scream and giggle like girls.

"Oh, no," yelled State as he thrashed around in the grass in agony. "Now I haven't got a thing to wear for tonight's cocktail party." State was referring to the Pride Festival's V.I.P. Party, to which he had been invited later in the evening. He had planned on wearing a sassy black disco shirt, khaki shorts and the stylish flip-flops.

As only a friend could do, Dan pulled an extra pair of shoes from his backpack so State could return to Barnes Place to treat the fashion emergency.

It was slightly overcast with a few sprinkles coming from the sky, however, the fashion police investigating the scene do not think the accident was weather-related. The Montego Bay Flip-Flops were two years old, and had been purchased at Payless Shoe Source during a $3 Shoe Sale.

State made an emergency trip to Payless Shoe Source, where he was able to replace the broken pair with a sparkly black pair of Sketchers on-sale for $11.99. The simple design helps to accentuate State's shapely calves.

Co-Director Anthony Dornacher was on a business trip at the time of the incident.
