FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 2, 2002, 10:00 p.m. Snow Falls at Barnes Place
BARNES PLACE (ATLANTA, GA) -- Tony is sweeping the street. He's swept the porch steps, the sidewalk, the cars, and now he's sweeping the street. With the area under a winter storm warning, a Presto log on the fire, an inch of the snow on the ground, and more on the way, Tony is sweeping the street. A low pressure system is coming off the Gulf of Mexico across the Panhandle of Florida into Southern Georgia. At the same time, an upper-level storm cell loaded with moisture continues to move in from the west. All that activity is mixing with freezing temperatures, as a result, Tony is sweeping snow. Attached is a photo of Barnes Place, taken at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. --END-- |
