Special Guest Appears at Y2K Compliance Test

MarkBarnes Place had a special guest at the Y2K Compliance Test. Mark, formerly of Los Angeles, recently moved to Atlanta and discovered Barnes Place through the Atlanta Journal and Constitution's web site, Access Atlanta, which had a link and review to Barnes Place.com. Mark was bold enough--and we *love* this--to invite himself to Barnes Place through the web site.

He was well-received by many of the guests, and since the flamingo population is still at five, we can rest easy knowing he's not some serial flamingo slasher, at least for the moment. Mark is the first person we've met through the web site. Join us as Mark is welcomed into the Barnes Place family.

Guest Restores General Electric Larchmont Elegant Sound System

WayneWe raise our cocktails to Wayne, of Tucker, Georgia. With a Miller Lite in hand, he was able to fix the changer spindle on Grandma State's circa 1963 General Electric counsel stereo system. By restoring the spindle, the Larchmont Elegant Sound System is again pumping out 10 watts of music power.

We cannot wait until Tennessee Ernie Ford's high fidelity "Spirituals" album is incorporated into the next event at Barnes Place. We will rock the night away with such hits as "Wayfaring Pilgrim" and "Get on Board, Little Children."
