1999 Holiday Lighting Ceremony
Bring Us Goodness and Light

Oh, the pageantry! For the seventh year in a row, the Holiday Lighting Ceremony kicked-off the start of the holiday season at Barnes Place. Guests brought canned goods for the Atlanta Community Food bank, and we were reminded just how small the world is.

Here are some amazing stories of coincidence:

  • Maggie, a student at Georgia Tech, was surfing the web last week when she came across Barnes Place.com. Recently, she hosted a party where her guests brought canned food. Although she had no idea where to donate the canned goods, until she came across the Holiday Lighting Ceremony. Maggie passed along her canned food to Barnes Place so it can go to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
  • Mark, the first to meet us through Barnes Place.com, had met Ronnie out and about last weekend. Ronnie, a long-time friend of Barnes Place, invited Mark to the Atlanta Christmas Parade on the morning of the Holiday Lighting Ceremony. While casually discussing the evening's plans, they realized they were both going to Barnes Place.
  • This year's Ceremony was the first Barnes Place event for Liz, who accompanied Ron, a long time Barnes Place friend. Several years ago, Liz hired Sherry as her assistant. Today, Sherry is one of Tim's clients. Sherry recommended Barnes Place.com to Liz. Liz, just one degree of separation from Barnes Place by two separate routes, has finally made it to Barnes Place.
