Tony Turns 32My birthday came and went, and nothing happened. Tim had a board meeting, so he postponed my birthday dinner until Friday. He kept the place for dinner a secret, but half-way there, I figured out where we were going, Agnes & Muriel's--50's Southern cooking with a modern flare. When we entered the restaurant, we were shown to the stairs to the second level. As I started walking up the stairs, I heard "Happy Birthday", looked up and a group of a cappella singers was singing out. I was shocked, but Tim pushed me up the stairs. When I reached the top, I saw a room full of our friends. I was overcome by emotion--happy, excited, touched--it was wonderful to be surprised by all our friends and everyone came to celebrate me and my birthday. Aural Pleasure, the a cappella group, sang a number of songs for me and our guests. We ordered dinner, and while waiting for our meals, I was able to say hello to everyone, and open the basket of cards from all the people who could not make it. Afterwards, I found out Tim had written a touching letter to all our friends, inviting them to join us. The evening was so grand, I will remember it forever. Thank you to everyone who made me feel so special on that night. -Tony
