The Final Letter.

April 2003

Dear [Insert Name Here],

Anticipating ten years of building our lives together, we are planning a Union Ceremony on August 7, 2004 in Vermont to mark the occassion. In the presence of the family and friends most important in our lives, we will recognize our commitment and pledge to join our lives as one.

In creating a life with each other, we are not defined by the pre-established roles society sets. Every day is a journey down a self-determined path meeting our individual needs and expectations. We work from scratch as we go, and often without advice, guidance or role models when they are most needed.

You have provided at one time or another inspiration. In our hearts every day, you have helped us become the individuals and couple we are today, and we would be honored for you to join us in celebrating our life and love. While months away with many details to be set, we wanted to announce this significant event so you may plan to share this experience with us.

We’re entering uncharted territory with no prescribed template to follow. The days until August 2004 are sure to be a journey as we create a Ceremony celebrating our relationship and the people who helped guide and inspire us. Life is too complex to go at it alone, so we hope to see you in Vermont. We’ll be in touch, providing details as they come together and hold your hand every step of the way—just as you have held ours at one time or another.

With love,
Anthony Dornacher & Timothy State
