It's Raining. It's Pouring.
It's raining this morning. We've had 2.0" of rain in the last six hours. The good news is that after many years of being in a rain deficit, we reached our annual rainfall average at about 2 a.m. this morning. With the prospect of a colder and wetter winter season ahead, we may just come out of our multi-year drought.

Long John is Free
He got his collar taken of today, and is now free to lick his behind as he pleases. Which is quite a bit.

Smooth Sailing...
Princess Starship III is now sailing the web, and we think the execution is quite fabulous. (Even though they've been called on an internet faux paus.)

Holiday Lighting Ceremony Photos Now Posted
500 Pounds of Food, 4 Lost Dishes, 3 Photographers, 2 toddlers and a Dog in a Satellite Dish. After an incredibly busy week, photos from the 10th Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony are now posted on-line. Three photographers captured the event, including child prodigy, Em, who works in the digital format. Em captured the essence of the Holiday Lighting Ceremony, and the results expose the event for all its joys and all its sorrows. Also included, is a short Quicktime video by Tyler Curtain.

Guests brought 500 pounds of canned goods and donated $25 for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, or enough food to provide more than 300 meals. Four dishes were left behind, which are now posted in the Gallery of Lost Dishes.

Victory!
Tim was elected President of the Home Park Community Improvement Association for 2003 on Tuesday night. Last-minute campaigning paid off in the first-ever contested election, as Tim won by a two-to-one margin. On the same evening, he was handed a Subpoena for the Production of Evidence in the case of a lawsuit between some un-connected neighbors and the City of Atlanta. As a result, we've been slow to get the Holiday Lighting Ceremony photos posted on-line; they should be posted soon.

Not by the Doctor's Orders
Seems Long John hasn't been following the Doctor's orders. After his check-up on Saturday, it was determined he's going to have to wear his cone yet another week. He's become more flexible as the week has gone on, and has been able to lick his wound some.

Great News for Long John
The cyst in his hind leg was not cancerous. He has a follow-up appointment on Saturday to see how his leg is healing.

I Say...
Tony just had a basket of flowers delivered to me at the office. But it wasn’t the basket that was so delightful, rather the deaf mute gay boy who delivered them.

Poseidon! An Upside-Down Musical
For those in the Chicagoland area, our friend Steve Hickson is the Managing Director of Hell In A Handbag Productions, which is presenting Poseidon! An Upside Down Musical from December 6 to January 11. It's being promoted: "HELLarious UPSIDE DOWN! Almost thirty years to the date after the film that inspired it premiered, Hell In A Handbag Productions is setting sail on its maiden voyage with Poseidon! An Upside-Down Musical. 'Bottoms Up!' this holiday season when a cast including Tracy Repep, David Cerda, Steve Hickson, Jennifer Connelly, Merrie Greenfield, Ed Jones, Ron Kelly, Steve Kimbrough, Todd McConville, Chad McLaughlin, Michael Miller, and Joe Waterman don hot pants, go-go boots and 'just panties' while struggling through a world where up is down and down is up." We think this sounds like a scream!

Technical Problem
We appear to have a technical problem with the menu on the right; the spacing is significanly more that we anticipated in Windows and with Netscape Communicator. We're on it, and hope to have the problem fixed soon. Thanks for pointing this out, Dan.
UPDATE: I haven't a clue what's going on. We're going to have to get the Big Guns out tomorrow to help with this one.
UPDATE: It appears we've fixed the problem.

Long John's Misery Brings Much Joy
Long John is recovering from surgery, and he's absolutely pissed at us--well, his therapy, rather. While he's annoyed as hell, it's absolutely amusing us. He's now outfitted with a collar, and may have to wear it for the next week. In the next few days, we'll get the lab results indicating exactly what the cyst was all about. View the photos and read all about it.
